Festival & Events Officer

Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre are seeking a casual Festival & Events Officer to join the dynamic and collaborative team at the MECC.

As a Festival & Events officer you will assist in the planning, management and delivery of Festivals & Events, including the Mackay Festival of Arts, community festivals and events, and civic events. This position also provides support to the Festival and Events Coordinator

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in assisting with festival and event coordination
• Experience assisting in developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies.
• Experience in events and sponsorship coordination.
• Current “C” Class drivers licence.
• Blue Card - It is an essential requirement for this position to hold a Working with Children Blue Card. Under Queensland legislation, you must hold the Blue Card prior to commencing employment – No Card, No Start policy.
