About the Role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer (Civil) to join our team where you will play a pivotal role in delivery of multiple civil engineering projects that will make a positive difference for our local community now and into the future.

The primary focus of the role is to undertake pre-project programming, project management and engineering support and advice on civil capital and renewal construction across Council urban and rural civil infrastructure assets, ensuring projects delivered are on schedule and meet specifications with a clear connection to the numbers in the budget.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ability to provide Civil Engineering advice and expertise in a range of construction and maintenance fields including; design, construction and maintenance of roads, footpaths, stormwater drainage, bridges and related civil infrastructure facilities.
  • Knowledge and experience in the preparation of technical specifications and contract documentation for civil works.
  • Sound project management, interpersonal, analytical, and problems solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage internal and external work groups to deliver civil infrastructure construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of project budgets, estimates and project scheduling.
  • Practical use and knowledge of Corporate Systems including Enterprise Resource Planning and Customer Relationship Management System (Financial Management, Asset Management, Maintenance Management, Document Management, GIS and Customer Requests).
  • A current WHS Induction for Construction Card.
  • A current NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
