Mackay Regional Council has a rare opportunity for a Construction Supervisor to join our Field Services team, based at Paget Depot.
The Role
To plan, organise, supervise and undertake projects relating to the maintenance, rehabilitation and/or upgrade of Council infrastructure (particularly Water and Sewerage assets), within budget and time allocations/constraints, in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Demonstrated experience working as a Supervisor within the Water Industry or Local Government / public water and wastewater infrastructure construction industries.
- Demonstrated experience in record keeping and quality inspection document control.
- Sound level of computer literacy, in particular the ability to use the Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and understand complex engineering design drawings and standard drawings.
- Current General Construction Safety White
- Current QLD ‘C’ Class drivers licence
- Current First Aid Certificate
Salary & Benefits Package:
- Annual base salary from $80,198
- Up to 18% superannuation (conditions apply)
- Choice of 4 or 5 weeks’ annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
