Permanent / Full Time Location – Regional $112,400 to $126,409 per annum The Whitsunday Regional Council is situated at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The region encompasses the 74 tropical Whitsunday Islands, the coastal towns of Cannonvale, Airlie Beach, Jubilee Pocket, Shute Harbour and Bowen along with the rural towns of Proserpine and Collinsville. The Role An exciting opportunity exists within our Infrastructure Services Directorate for a Senior Stormwater Engineer. In this role, you will provide support to the Roads and Drainage team through providing support to manage stormwater and floodplain infrastructure, as well as leading and monitoring Councils Floodplain and Stormwater documents, policies and guidelines. A key focus of this role is to provide professional advice to assist in the assessment of stormwater and floodplain related matters. This role will also ensure that all floodplain and stormwater infrastructure forward work programs align with Councils Corporate Plan, Operational Plan, Asset Management Strategy and Planning Scheme.
