The Role:

An exciting opportunity currently exists to provide casual covergae of high-quality educational programs across our funded kindergartens at the City of Ballarat. 

The kindergarten teacher will ensure that the program is offered in accordance with the National Quality Framework, the Victorian Department of Education Kindergarten Funding Guidelines, the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, the City of Ballarat Children’s Services Practice Guide for Educators, and all other relevant legislation and Council policies and procedures.

About you: 

To be successful, you will be a motivated, team player committed to delivering high quality early childhood education and care.  A solid understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Quality Framework is required along with ability to support a holistic and flexible approach to the care, education and development of children. 

With a genuine interest in meeting the needs of children and their families you will demonstrate an ability to lead a team of early years professionals with a holistic approach to the care, education and development of children that reflects an awareness of the wellbeing of children in your care. 

Your strong communication and relationship building skills will see you foster and sustain partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders including parents, colleagues and community members. You will have a natural ability to motivate and lead staff to achieve desired outcomes within parameters of the service, lead by your confidence in leadership and dedication to best practice. 

The successful applicant will hold a Bachelor of Education or equivalent in accordance with the National Quality Framework and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
