We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable and engaged Economic Development & Investment Coordinator in this dynamic full-time position. This role provides you with a unique opportunity to demonstrate your stakeholder engagement and project management skills. This role recognises and appreciates attention to detail, strong planning and an innate ability to build relationships.

You have a strong ability to influence and support a wide range of stakeholders. You are a skilled professional who thrives on utilising your expertise in order to deliver results in a highly dynamic environment. In addition, you are highly experienced and proficient in stakeholder engagement and enjoy working in a rural community environment.

The main responsibilities include:

• Implement, and as required revise the Indigo Shire Economic Development Strategy
• Co-ordinate and undertake necessary research to identify and promote local development needs, resources and opportunities for growth
• Support and advocate for the establishment, development or expansion of major and minor investors and value adding enterprises in Indigo Shire
• Preparation of the Council Plan and implementation plans in the area of economic development and investment and reporting / monitoring outcomes achieved
• Create professional relationships with the local business community, developers and investors
