Indigo Shire Council is located in picturesque North East Victoria, amongst Australia's most significant collection of historic towns. We are seeking a highly motivated Arborist with a demonstrated commitment to quality customer service to lead Council's Parks, Trees and Gardens teams in this exciting role. 

You will be an exceptional ‘people manager’ with a demonstrated ability to build strong trustful working relationships through outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You will possess proven experience in driving positive cultural change and the ability to build a performance based culture focused on achieving Council objectives and community outcomes to the highest possible standards.

You will have appropriate Arboriculture and Horticultural tertiary qualifications, to lead, motivate and develop a team responsible for tree maintenance and replacement programs and ensuring that our parks and gardens, open spaces, green and turf surfaces, and town entrances are presented to the highest standards possible through your strong attention to detail. Your desire to work in a Shire with significant heritage trees and beautiful parks and gardens will see you take the next step in your professional career with a progressive organisation and supportive work environment.
