The Role: A permanent, full-time position is currently available for Animal Attendants within the Ballarat Animal Shelter to provide daily care for shelter animals and excellent customer service to members of the public. Animal Attendants are required to assist in the education of the community in Responsible Pet Ownership and Animal Management services as needed as well as maintain the Ballarat City Council facilities in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with Council’s procedures. Reporting to the Shelter Supervisor, daily Animal Attendant duties include but are not limited to:
About You: To be successful in this role you will have a passion for animal welfare and a strong commitment to contributing to animal enrichment. Basic experience/on-the-job training in the care and maintenance of animals and animal handling and basic interpersonal and communication skills are required for this position. Ability to demonstrate self-motivation and self-discipline in work undertaken is essential. Key Selection Criteria:
