About the role:

The position of Diesel Fitter – Mechanical Tradesperson is responsible for maintaining Council’s plant and equipment fleet to a high standard, providing a high level of mechanical expertise to our clients, both internal and external.

 

Key responsibilities of this role shall include but not be limited to:

  • Effective provision of mechanical services for the repair, maintenance and servicing of Council's plant and equipment
  • Completion of all required documentation
  • Provide trade guidance and assistance as part of a work team
  • Other responsibilities as delegated by Management within the scope of this position

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Indentured Tradesperson as a Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
  • Minimum five (5) years mechanical trade person experience
  • Current QLD ‘C’ Class drivers licence
  • General Construction Safety ‘White’ card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Mechanical experience must include engines, transmissions, hydraulics, automotive air-conditioning and auto electrical
