The Risk Management & Safety section is responsible for overseeing the development of risk management practices across the organisation to ensure its success.
About the role:
We are currently seeking a Risk Management Officer to join our team. In this newly created role you will be responsible providing leadership across all aspects of Risk Management & Business Continuity by actively raising the profile and value of risk management, to ensure timely and effective delivery of organisational objectives. You will also be responsible for the development and implementation of a Business Continuity framework and Risk Management framework.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent job related experience in Risk Management and/or Work Health and Safety
- Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of risk management practices and systems (ISO 31000), relevant Legislation, Standards (AS/NZS 5050:2010, ISO 45001) and Industry Practice
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing Risk Management frameworks
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation with a customer service focus
- Ability to build effective relationships with Managers and Directors to successfully coach and build expertise in risk management
- Demonstrated high-level problem solving capabilities, analytical skills and organisation with the demonstrated ability to develop strategies to address recurring problems and/or position the organisation to respond positively to emerging issues and trends
- Demonstrated high-level computer skills and the ability to implement technology solutions to facilitate continual improvement outcomes in risk management.
