Assets & GIS Officer

This role is based at Mansfield in North-East Victoria, just over 2 hours drive from Melbourne. Mansfield supports a population of approximately 8,000 people and offers excellent medical, educational, cultural, retail and professional facilities. Tourism, outdoor adventure, agriculture, wine production and lifestyle living are key growth industries in this region.
Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified person to join the Infrastructure team.
Responsibilities include:
- Improve and maintain the accuracy of data sets in Council’s GIS (MapInfo) system, provide census data statistics and end user support for GIS.
- Provide information and data to Council’s Asset Management Service provider.
- Administration and end user training for GIS and Council’s asset data management systems.
- Administration of various infrastructure reporting and modelling services such as long term financial planning, in the context of asset management.
Remuneration will be based on Band 6 classification of the Mansfield Shire Council Enterprise Agreement 2019.
