About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a Project Management Team which delivers a diverse range of project scales and types. The team is innovative, fast paced, well-respected and highly regarded for excellence in project delivery. You will be responsible for supervising and leading a team responsible for the delivery (from initiation to handover) of a diverse, complex and at times, sensitive, range of capital projects and programs.

About the person 

Suitably qualified and experienced candidates must provide a separate written statements against each of the following selection criteria:

• Possess recognised degree qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management or other related discipline.
• Extensive and demonstrated experience (at least 15 years’ experience) in supervising or managing multi-disciplinary teams in delivering large, complex and sensitive projects and/or programs of capital works.
• Extensive experience applying relevant current project management principles and practices with particular emphasis on PMBoK Principles to achieve desired outcomes.
• Extensive and demonstrated experience (typically 15 years) in the project management of a wide range of projects and programs and able to demonstrate relevant experience in contract administration; preparing tender and contract documentation; processing projects/services through the tender process; resolving complex project management and contractual issues and the ability to successfully negotiate and mediate with external organisations, government agencies and the general public.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, writing skills, budget skills, financial skills and problem solving skills.
• Class “C” Drivers Licence.

We are offering an attractive salary from $124,541.97 - $137,126.55 p.a. plus Super. City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which can be accessed by the successful candidate, including participation in Council’s motor vehicle leaseback scheme.
