Council is seeking applications to fill the position of Sealed Network Plant Operator/Labourer. Applications 
will be received until Friday, 11 October 2019. Late applications may not be considered.


The Position

Council is seeking the services of a person to fill the position of Sealed Network Plant Operator/Labourer.


The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking a range of plant operation and labouring tasks 
as part of a multi-disciplined team that is responsible for the maintenance or construction of roads, traffic furniture or any other associated structure. The applicant must have the ability to work in a manner that will provide a safe work environment in accordance with Council’s Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures.


Qualifications and Experience

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in general maintenance and labouring duties and hold a current ‘MR’ Class Licence and General Construction White Card. The successful applicant is expected to have, or be working towards a Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent experience, working at heights certification, traffic control certificates along with appropriate certificates of competency to operate a Roller and Skidsteer. It is desirable that the applicant has a current first aid certificate, high risk work licence and certificate of competency to operate a Front End Loader and Backhoe.


Salary and Conditions

The position is classified as a Level 4 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream B) Award – State 2017 and offers an annual salary (including allowances and leave loading) of $57,714.22.This position will receive 5 weeks annual leave including leave loading of 17.5%, 15 days sick leave, 9 day fortnight, RosteredDay-Off system, salary sacrifice options, ongoing training and professional development and superannuation of up to 12% of salary is also available upon commencement.
