ABOUT THE ROLE:

Isaac Regional Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Director Corporate, Governance and Financial Services who will strategically lead and manage the Corporate, Governance and Financial Services (CGFS) Directorate of Council.  The CGFS Directorate is a multidisciplinary service responsible for managing and maintaining the financial, brand and media, governance, corporate, safety, information technology, enterprise assets and procurement functions of Council.  This position provides strategic leadership, guidance and support to the Corporate, Governance and Financial Services Directorate to ensure Council has an effective framework that complies with legislative requirements and promotes business excellence.

ABOUT YOU:

• Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting or a relevant discipline - highly desirable;
• Post graduate qualifications in business management or relevant discipline would be viewed favourably;
• Extensive experience in the provision and management of Corporate, Governance & Financial Services, including financial services, disaster management, safety, risk management and procurement;
• Senior management experience of a multi-disciplinary team in a complex corporate environment.
• Local Government experience at a senior management level is desirable;
• Experience in the preparation of business plans and budgets and generating innovative approaches to more effectively deploy resources;
• Disaster Management experience will be advantageous.
