An opportunity exists for a motivated and energetic staff member to join the HR and Wellbeing Team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Local Government and HR professional to partner with Business Units and Business Unit Managers to ensure our workforce is engaged and productive. The HR & Wellbeing Business Partner will influence and negotiate with stakeholders to implement effective HR, WHS and Wellbeing policies and practices to support effective business performance.


The successful candidate will thrive under pressure and challenge, have a flexible and adaptable approach to their work and share our team's commitment to providing value to our customers, approaching tasks enthusiastically and working together as a team.


The successful candidate will have:

  • Essential - bachelor Degree in Human Resources/Employee Relations/Industrial Relations or 5+ years' experience in HR
  • Desirable - Certificate IV in WHS or 1-2years experience in Work Health and Safety
  • Strong knowledge of NSW Local Government State Award and other relevant legislation
  • Ability to navigate a political environment
  • Ability to contribute constructively in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise


This is a permanent full-time role (35 hours per week) Position No. S0946


Salary Range: $97,701 - $102,654 pa + Superannuation
