A great opportunity has arisen at Isaac Regional Council for a Manager Community Hubs based in the Isaac Region. Reporting to the Manager Engaged Communities, this position will have a pivotal role in creating 7 new Community Hubs. They will be formed by bringing together the current Customer Service Officers and Library Officers and cross training all staff into Frontline Service Officers in seven locations across the Region. The Manager Community Hubs will develop comprehensive Frontline Service Officer training programs in conjunction with the Manager Engaged Communities for DPECS signoff. The Manager Community Hubs will then deliver the training programs for emerging Frontline Service Officers over the next year and as the multiskilled competencies develop, the Community Hubs will transition to a more integrated operating model both virtually and physically.


To be successful in this role, you will have:  

  • Tertiary qualifications in Customer Service, Librarianship, Community Development and/or Engagement, Communications or a relevant field coupled with significant experience (3-5 years) in a similar role is essential;
  • Demonstrated leadership and change management skills with the ability to resource, train, develop, merge, supervise and lead teams are essential;
  • Proven working knowledge of relevant State and Local Government legislation and the operating environment from a customer service and libraries context;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work as an effective tram member with a continuous improvement approach;
  • Demonstrated high level of written and interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate, negotiate investigation and consult at appropriate levels within the community, government and private sectors;
  • A working with children blue card is essential.

  • Attractive remuneration package, inclusive of accommodation and limited private-use vehicle;
  • 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading;
  • 12% super (in accordance with policy).
