About the role

Based at the Moruya Depot, this full-time position will provide support to the Parks Coordinator and conduct planning, reporting and administrative services for Council’s Parks and Gardens operations.

Your main duties will include:

  • Leading the delivery of fire mitigation and tree/asset inspections works.
  • Managing the Fire Mitigation and Tree/Asset inspection teams.
  • Overseeing development of schedules, workloads and relevant budget requirements within Parks.
  • Reviewing and updating technical documentation with consideration of current specifications, systems, policies, codes of practice and legislation.
  • Taking a lead role in gathering information for the development of reports and documents for review by the Parks Coordinator, Divisional Manager and external stakeholders.

Salary Information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $3,630.91 to $3,988.86 gross per fortnight comprising:

  • $3,234.53 to $3,557.01 base salary
  • $36.56 Adverse Working Conditions allowance
  • $359.82 to $395.29 superannuation (calculated at 11%)

About you

Are you ready to step up in your field? The ideal candidate will be an experienced supervisor with an understanding of Parks environments, including fire mitigation and tree inspection. You are tech-savvy with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to conduct reports, prepare estimations and budget for relevant projects. You are eager, cooperative and can demonstrate the following:

  • Advanced Certification or Associate Diploma in Frontline Management, Leadership or Horticulture.
  • Staff Management experience.
  • Experience (or willingness to be trained) in Fire Mitigation Operations and Tree Works and Assessments.
  • Knowledge of Park and Gardens and/or Playground Maintenance is a bonus!
