Senior Arborist
Our city has one big backyard and you will help keep it beautiful as part of our team of Arborists.
As the Senior Arborist you'll will be responsible for the day-to day delivery of our request for service programme and provide training and support on correct arboricultural techniques and practices to the arborist team. You'll also be actively involved in performing a variety of tree maintenance, including removal and thinning work in and around Invercargill.
As 'Safety First' is our motto, we need you to follow the highest safety standards and we will provide all tools and safety equipment to enable this.
This position requires an experienced, hardworking team player ready for a challenge. A formal qualification in arboriculture, a current full drivers licence and heavy traffic licence is essential.
Rural fire fighting is an area that Parks Operations employees may be involved in, so experience or an interest in this area would be highly regarded.
