Information Services Assistant

Base salary $61,037 to $64,918 plus super


Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the permanent full-time role of Information Services Assistant.

Reporting to the Manager Information Services, this role is required to administer an ever-increasing technical records management system whilst also providing some basic Information Technology support.

The BHCC Records function incorporates the management of physical records such as correspondence, contracts, reports and other paper-based files, electronic records including correspondence, files, tenders, contracts, emails, personnel records and other assorted documents and the administration of the Content Manager records management system.

We are seeking an employee who is an excellent communicator, highly organised with good attention to detail. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and proven ability to work co-operatively in a sensitive and confidential environment.

Skills required for this role include:

  • Certificate III or equivalent in business administration, information technology, local government or other relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated knowledge of office administration principles and practices
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Experience providing solutions to wide range of customers and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated high level skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
