The Opportunity

Kempsey Shire Council is seeking to recruit a Coordinator Commercial Assets to work within the Commercial Business Team.  The Coordinator Commercial Assets will be responsible for the management, operation, planning and project delivery of Council’s commercial assets.

To be successful, you should hold a Degree in business, property management or related discipline, and a Project Management qualification; possess excellent customer service and negotiation skills; financial management; and have the ability to quickly pivot between the varied responsibilities of this position.

  • Weekly salary of $1,758.61 to $1,979.34 (plus 9.5% superannuation)

 Key accountabilities

  • Manage and operate Council’s commercial assets (Airport, Saleyards, Cemeteries and Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks) to achieve an appropriate rate of return for each
  • Create, review and implement relevant commercial asset strategic plans, business plans, project plans, marketing plans, policies and procedures
  • Manage Leases and contracts
  • Identify, plan, coordinate and execute projects while overseeing procurement and supervise subcontractors
