The Records and Information Team is responsible for providing operational support to the organisation in the management of Council’s records management functions, these include but are not limited to, document registration, access and retrieval of corporate information as well as supporting end users in the most optimal use of Council’s Document Management System. 


About the role:

We are currently seeking a temporary Records Officer. In this role you will be responsible for performing duties associated with management of incoming and outgoing correspondence, scanning and registration of information into Council’s Document Management System, access and retrieval or records, as well as conducting mail room duties as required. This is a fixed temporary appointment for a period of 6 months. This role will be suitable for a candidate that strives from providing proactive and solutions driven customer support to their customers as well as having a high regard for attention to detail.


The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

  • Certificate III in Recordkeeping qualifications and/or extensive job related experience in recordkeeping.
  • Experience with electronic records systems or enterprise content management systems.
  • Proficient user of Windows based computer systems
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required.
