Our engineering team is accountable for the provision of high-quality technical expertise across the dams, geotechnical, civil, structural, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and material science technical disciplines. We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and engaging Senior Engineer to contribute in a multi-disciplinary technical team for our globally recognised water utility.  

Reporting to the Engineering Manager Capital, you will be a collaborative professional who can work autonomously to provide customers with efficient and responsive technical solutions and advice through design, audit, construction monitoring, standards, safety, quality and drawing management to achieve our business objectives for dams infrastructure on 17 large dams.

Working towards shared business outcomes, you will form partnerships with external engineering consultants and construction contractors, fostering an environment where the people you partner with will work as a cohesive integrated team focused on delivering successful outcomes for our customers.

What you need to be successful:

• Proven proactive approach to management of safety throughout the design lifecycle process
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering
• Proficient principals, practices and objectives of dams engineering and dam safety
• Demonstrated responsibility in efficient and responsive technical investigations and reporting
• Providing technical advisory services related to dams and geotechnical engineering
• Apply ongoing development in stewardship and review of technical standards and guidelines
• Competent in leading, integrating and influencing internal and external stakeholders
