- $71,661.93 - $83,373.67 per annum (pro rata) plus 9.5% superannuation

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Team Leader Waste and Recycling Transfer Station to work within our Operations department. This position will see you accountable for the supervision of daily operations and leading staff at the Moonee Valley Waste and Recycling Transfer station.
Reporting directly through to the Coordinator Integrated Waste Services, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Monitoring the effective operation of the Waste and Recycling Transfer Station in providing direction, development and on the job training;
- Establishing safe working practices, procedures and rosters to meet the needs and requirements of the Waste Transfer Station facility;
- Operating various plant and equipment and taking responsibility for repairs and maintenance at the facility;
- Coordinating load materials for contractor collections;
- Providing supervision to employees including; performance management, appraisals and on the job guidance; and
- Maintaining work rosters as well as preparing pay reports and leave applications.
About You
To be suitable for this role, you will possess the following:
- Proven leadership/supervision experience in an operational service delivery environment or in the waste industry;
- Proven hands-on operational experience and an awareness of the waste industry practices;
- A current Heavy Rigid (Articulated) driver’s licence and permits to operate front end loader/backhoe and forklift; and
- Ability to build effective working relationships with clients and staff members, in addition to possessing effective conflict resolution skills.
