Industry Performance Coordinator


The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper/accountant with high attention to detail and excellent financial and analytical skills to ensure the highest level of data integrity and interpretation of information.

Reporting to the Senior Industry Performance Advisor, the Industry Performance Coordinator will work with the Club Partnerships & Asset team ensuring the club financial information is processed in a timely manner. The role will also be responsible for validating, reporting, and analysing club financial information and risk, to inform business decisions and deliver improved industry performance.

Key duties include:

  • Processing of monthly and annual club financial data within the data warehouse.
  • Quarterly and annual reconciliation of RQ’s data warehouse to validate club financial data YTD.
  • Prepare reporting and analysis of club financial information to enable management reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly club benchmark reporting.
  • Coordinate and assist with the preparation half yearly club balanced scorecard reporting.
  • Undertake benchmarking and analysis of RQ’s club operational funding model.
  • Coordinate the monthly club operational funding process by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of information is achieved, and club eligibility for funding is assessed and recommended in accordance with the terms set out in the Club Funding Agreements.
  • Communicating with clubs on outstanding documentation, providing administrative support and formalising extensions where required.
  • Monitoring and escalating non-conformances in accordance with Licence General Conditions or Club Funding Agreements.
  • Undertake periodic analysis of club expenditure against club operational funding.
  • Undertake analysis of club hardship requests and provide recommendations to management.
  • Assist with educating clubs on financial reporting and accounting treatments.
  • Provision of periodic and adhoc reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.

The Success Profile

  • A certificate IV / Diploma in business administration / accounting or related field and commensurate demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of accounting principles to ensure the highest level of data integrity and interpretation of incomplete or inaccurate information.
  • Experience in report and dashboard creation.
  • Experience in providing and resolving administration services with limited guidance.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt communication approach to meet business requirements.
  • Ability to solve complex problems requiring consideration of a range of options.
  • Demonstrated capability to coordinate multiple projects.
  • Ability to influence and convince stakeholders, internal clients and industry participants in the achievement of objectives.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar application desirable.
