As General Manager of Corporate Services & Sustainability, you will have direct control over the Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Compliance, Information Technology, Grants Management and Community Development Program departments. You will also be a part of the executive team and will be expected to weigh in on other council operations which include municipal services, community safety, sport & recreation, aged care, child care, construction projects and assets management. Tertiary qualified with post graduate studies, you will have an impressive track record delivering strategic corporate support, ideally in a Local Government setting. After all, you have a minimum of five (5) years’ management experience in a similar executive role behind you. You will be highly desired if you have plenty of experience in working in remote locations and with Indigenous people. You need to be a strong, positive communicator able to talk to a government minister in one breath and a tradie in the next.
