Strategic Procurement Specialist


Things We’ll Trust You With:

  • Developing, implementing and leading delivery of a strategic procurement plan for Council’s Capital Works Program.
  • Increasing the level of focus on strategic procurement for its Capital Works Program.
  • Improving procurement efficiency and value for money

Things You’ll Do:

  • Partner with our Shire Infrastructure Directorate to support delivery of Council's extensive Capital Works Program.
  • Conduct analytics for the Capital Works pipeline to drive targeted contractor and supplier engagements for projects and programs to achieve partnering benefits.
  • Lead all strategic procurement activities for the Capital Works Program in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will showcase Council’s values in all that you do – Collaborate, Achieve, Respect, and Evolve.

 The Fine Print:

  • Package:  $103,000 - $120,000 gross p.a plus 10% superannuation. Salary will be determined based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
  • Hours of work: 35 hours per week, 19 day month flex time arrangement available

To meet Council's WHS requirements and in accordance with Council's Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication, you will be required to produce evidence as part of the application process. Successful applicants are subject to ID checks, Police Checks, Reference checks, Qualification checks, and Work Rights verification.
