Team Leader Development Assessment

We are seeking people with plenty of drive and passion, and extensive experience in development assessment, to lead a team of planners in the assessment of development applications. This is a great opportunity to take that next step in your planning career and be part of an organisation shaping the future of its community.    

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist and mentor development planners in processing and assessing minor and major/complex development applications and interpreting planning issues.
  • Assess, appraise, process and determine various minor and major/complex development applications.
  • Report to the Local and Regional Planning Panel in response to development applications and other development assessment matters.
  • Provide efficient, proactive, informative and responsive service to other departments, other organisations and the community, consistent with legislation, regulations, council’s policies, objectives, vision and core values. 

Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant. This position also comes with a leaseback vehicle or a vehicle allowance.
