Under the guidance of a new General Manager and Executive team, Wingecarribee Shire Council is embarking on the implementation of a strategic organisational transformation to position the business to actively plan for and manage significant positive changes to its operations and culture, in addition to meeting the demands and satisfying the expectations of our community.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset Engineer – Water and Sewer to develop, update and ensure the delivery of the Water and Sewer Asset Capital Works Program, condition assessments and Strategic Asset Management Planning to achieve optimum outcomes for the organisation in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.

This role will see you undertaking site inspections of all critical water and sewerage assets to determine the condition and performance against levels of service and manage the annual condition assessments including all aspects of contract management, site supervision and risk management.

About You

With a degree in Civil Engineering, you will have experience in the construction and maintenance of water and sewer assets and the management of those assets, including condition monitoring, future planning, project scoping, pre-planning and capital works program development.

Excellent communication (both written and verbal), strong project and contractor management skills coupled with a solid working knowledge of WHS and traffic control requirements will ensure your success.

Demonstrated experience in developing, updating and maintaining Asset Management Systems and experience in using GIS geospatial databases and software for producing maps will be well regarded.
