The role Reporting to the Executive Manager Governance and Risk, this position will take a leadership role to drive key safety and wellbeing strategies to mitigate health and safety risks and reduce harm to our most important asset, our people. Leading a highly engaged, skilled and effective team to ensure delivery of Council’s Safety, Health, Wellbeing and Injury management services that build capability, enabling effective delivery of services to our community. Operating in a business partnering model with a supportive cross-functional team where fun and collaboration are essential ingredients to achieve quality safety outcomes that enhance performance while delivering the following objectives:
About you To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the City of Ballarat is seeking someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude who is a tertiary qualified Health and Safety professional; and is proactive in their application with demonstrated experience in interpreting and advising on relevant Health and Safety Legislation. You will be able to draw on well-developed interpersonal skills and collaborative approaches with key stakeholders in pursuit of simplifying safety through continuous improvement.
