About the role An exciting opportunity presents for an experienced Perinatal Emotional Health Clinician to work within the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health (MCH) team and the Early Year’s services at Council. You will play an important role in the provision of adult mental health assessments, with a focus on collaborative work with other agencies and short-term case planning to increase protective factors around a child at risk. Enhanced MCH is an intensive, flexible home-based service that targets children and families at risk. Enhanced MCH is a multi-disciplinary team to compliment the role of MCH nurse, paediatric occupational therapist and social work. The role includes participation in intake, assessment and case management under the guidance of the Enhanced MCH Team Leader. About you To be successful in this role you will require excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with families, colleagues, welfare and early year’s professionals. Through collaboration with MCH nurses and families you will work to develop an evidence-based plan with primary care giver to increase parenting capacity, reduce risk for children and improve wellbeing/safety.
