An exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join the award winning Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre. This position is Permanent Fulltime commencing in July 2022.

In this role you will provide high quality creation and service of food according to the MECC quality and service standards. Reporting to the Executive Chef and supported by a team of line chefs and kitchenhands you will assist in the day to day operations of the kitchen to meet the needs of our clients.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or above
• Experience in food and beverage preparation, functions and events and food and beverage service skills
• Previous experience in supervision of a team
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (desirable)
• Exceptional client service skills
• An eye for detail and aesthetics

Applicants must be available to work rostered shifts including weekdays, after hours and weekends as per the Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre requirements.
