Visitor Information Centre Lead

The Role

Reporting to the Corporate Communications, Events and Services Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Hawkesbury Information Centre. This role will be supervising and coordinating the Visitor Information Centre team by providing leadership in training and professional development to provide a customer focused, high quality, friendly service to visitors and potential visitors to the Hawkesbury.

About you

We are looking for a person who is motivated and passionate about promoting the Hawkesbury as a tourism destination. You will have a creative approach to customer service with your outgoing communication both written and verbal, while leading staff to achieve performance outcomes. You must have strong people skills, an eye for detail, be well organised and eager to learn. 

You must have:

• Tafe Certificate or higher qualifications in Tourism, Customer Service or a related area
• Demonstrable experience working in a visitor information centre or similar service environment
• High level of experience in office administration procedures using a PC and the Microsoft suite of software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher
• Skills in managing and marketing a tourism website and social media platforms
• Demonstrated leadership and staff supervisory skills
