Key Venues consists of 11 of Council’s premier sport and leisure facilities. We deliver first class activity and program choice, we promote Blacktown City as the leader in sport, recreation and leisure and we give every visitor and customer a safe and memorable experience. Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope is an award winning multi-purpose facility that offers high quality programs and services. It includes an indoor aquatic centre with 25 metre 10 lane lap pool, wave pool, program pool, a 4 court stadium and 16 court tennis complex as well as a health and fitness centre, crèche and function room facilities.

Position purpose:

We are looking for enthusiastic and go-getting individuals who have a passion for the sport and leisure industry, and event delivery to join the Key Venues team as Casual Stadium Hosts.

The role includes:

  • delivering stadium, activities, programs and competitions to attract the maximum participation level
  • facilitating quality customer service through a competent, committed and confident approach to the tasks at hand
  • facilitating a high quality environment for the enjoyment of customers through compliance with established standards and requirements.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Current First Aid 
  • Experience in a service role 
  • Desire and willingness to further knowledge of industry.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service 
  • Ability to work within a team environment 
  • Availability to work flexible working hours.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $25.5605 per hour plus 25% casual loading
  • Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts 
  • Trainee rates apply for applicants under 19 years of age
  • Casual working hours
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 10% employer superannuation contribution payable to Active Superannuation Scheme, Fitness Passport and gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
