• Permanent, Full Time Position working a 9-day fortnight
• Band 3 Salary Range $61,305 to $65,373 per annum inclusive of applicable allowances
• Plus statutory superannuation

ABOUT THE ROLE 

The City of Ballarat’s Operations unit is seeking self-motivated individuals to become part of the Road Maintenance team in the delivery of quality services. 

Road Maintenance is looking for experienced plant operators with a “can do” attitude to undertake Road Maintenance duties to achieve road management plan requirements with a focus on Unsealed Roads, Shoulder Maintenance, Laneway Maintenance and gravel footpath repairs throughout the City of Ballarat. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and autonomously in line with Councils Values to achieve best maintenance outcomes throughout the City of Ballarat. 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL  

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have genuine personal values, a can-do attitude and be keen to learn and possess the basic skills to be part of an operational team.  

• Ability to work with minimal supervision demonstrating and displaying City of Ballarat values and behaviours 
• Practical experience in Civil maintenance works or civil engineering practices relating to Road Maintenance activities 
• Practical experience in working within a team environment 
• Practical knowledge in use of plant and equipment required of the position 
• Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area 
• Current Worksite Traffic Management Certificate 
• Current Drivers Licence HR preferred
