Interim Manager Customer and Technology


Snowy Valleys Council is looking for an enthusiastic and driven manager to facilitate the ongoing provision of our Customer and Technology functions. Showcasing your leadership skills and experience, you will build capacity in the team through mentoring and guiding less experienced staff in decision making processes.

You will be responsible for ensuring service provision to both internal and external customers, as well as manage strategic project and procurement during an exciting time of change at SVC. Centrally located this position will work between the desirable locations of Tumut and Tumbarumba.

This is a temporary three-month assignment with the possibility of extension.

As Council’s Manager Customer and Technology you will be required to:

  1. Inform the decision-making of the executive leadership team
  2. Deliver and maintain operational plans
  3. Manage goals and performance measures
  4. Manage financial, human and physical resources to enable service delivery.
  5. Deliver the services of the portfolio.
  6. Guide the portfolio's contribution and the operational performance of the council
  7. Promote information sharing and knowledge transfer

In successfully undertaking this role you will have:

  1. Tertiary qualification in business, information technology, or related field.
  2. Demonstrated ability to manage, coach and support staff to achieve work targets and  performance objectives.
  3. Contemporary knowledge of technology strategy, network and data security, system audits,  and business improvement tools and methods.
  4. Contemporary experience in managing a customer service operation.
  5. Demonstrated ability to drive a first contact resolution, customer focused culture within service teams and across the organisation
  6. Demonstrated ability to inform corporate strategy development and advise on operational  planning and service delivery.
  7. Current class c drivers’ licence.

SALARY
