Project Manager - Major Projects


We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to manage and oversee the delivery of a range of major projects for the City, including new constructions and building upgrades. You will ensure the effective planning, design, documentation, delivery and evaluation of complex projects on time and on budget.

Current projects include the Botanical Gardens Visitor Centre and Bendigo Art Gallery upgrade.

You will facilitate multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate all participants on a project, ensuring expectations are understood and agreed, programs are developed and closely monitored, key milestones met, contractors appropriately briefed, engaged and managed, and that delivery, performance and financial targets are achieved in line with the Citys  objectives, procurement policies, legislation and commercial agreements.

You will have substantial project management experience including demonstrated ability to deliver across all phases of a project together with extensive experience in stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence and gain support. Strong financial management skills, including funding bid development, management of expenditure against budget and financial reporting are essential for success in the role coupled with the ability to prepare and present high quality written and verbal reports to a variety of audiences.

A satisfactory police records check and evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status is required for this position.
