About The Region

Horsham Rural City Council is located on the lands of the Wotjobaluk, Wergaia, Jupagulk, Jaadwa and Jadawadjali people. We recognise the important and ongoing place that all Indigenous people hold in our community and are committed to working in the spirit of mutual understanding and respect for the benefit of the broader community and future generations.

Horsham is a vibrant municipality located approximately 300 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. The majority of its' 19,880 residents are located in Horsham, a hub for health care, niche retail, education and schooling, community services, comprehensive sports and recreation and bespoke arts and culture.

If you are looking to get out of the city and move to an area of abundant wide open space, small populations and diverse natural assets, including recreational lakes, wetlands and rivers, along with the amazing Dyurrite (Mount Arapiles) and nearby Gariwerd (Grampians National Park), this secure, ongoing and creative employment opportunity may be for you.
