  • Certificate III Hourly Rate from $30.68 (in accordance with the Early Education Employees Agreement 2020)
  • Diploma Hourly Rate from $36.14 (in accordance with the Early Education Employees Agreement 2020)

As a valued member of the Children's Services team, you will have a thorough knowledge of the needs of young children, the community and families.

To be successful in this role, you will posses:

  • Well-developed written and verbal skills
  • a demonstrated ability to embed the Practice Principles of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the Quality Standards of the National Quality Framework (NQF) when planning, developing and implementing high quality pedagogical programs for 3–5-year-old children.
  • Sound knowledge of Childrens Services Legislation, Policy and Framework
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • A Certificate III or Diploma (approved by ACECQA and National Law)
  • Employee Working with Children Check
  • Level II First Aid

Mitchell Shire employs are supported to engage in ongoing professional development. The kindergarten teaching teams receive additional programs and supports through the School Readiness Funding (SRF) menu items to enhance the learning and development of children.
