The Invercargill City Council is currently looking for a Team Leader to oversee our passionate Parks Performance team and act as an ambassador for our premier parks and reserves. The Team Leader - Parks Performance is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the performance of Council's parks and reserves. This role is specifically responsible for overseeing asset maintenance activities, including monitoring and reporting on both assets and performance, to deliver expected levels of service; delivering capital projects works; and ensuring effective relationship management with park users. You will actively promote the services offered by the Parks and Recreation Division, encouraging your team to do the same, taking any opportunity to promote our parks and reserves. Our ideal candidate will have a proven passion for leading and developing people to bring out the best in their team. You'll also have demonstrated skills in engaging with the community, managing various scales of projects and a sound understanding of asset management. To succeed in this position you will have:
Our ideal candidate will also have a tertiary qualification in a related discipline such as Parks and Recreation Management, Project Management, Environmental or equivalent level of learning through experience.
