About the role:

This is not your standard inner-city planning role focused on R-Code assessments.   Planners at the City of Busselton are exposed to a wide variety of residential, commercial, tourism and rural developments and a broad range of issues including development in environmentally sensitive areas, bushfire, coastal processes, vegetation removal, extractive industries - making this role a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skills!

To Apply:

To be considered for this role you must address the following essential selection criteria and submit as part of your application:

  • Degree Urban & Regional Planning, or equivalent qualification;
  • Minimum two years statutory planning experience;
  • Highly developed skills in statutory interpretation and practical understanding of the Planning and Development Act 2005;
  • Highly developed analytical, conceptual and design skills;
  • Highly developed written communication and collaborative negotiation skills;
  • Highly developed verbal communication and presentation skills; and
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills.

Successful applicants must also hold a current valid ‘C’ Class Western Australian driver’s licence and be able to obtain a Police Clearance no more than 6 months old.
