The City of Busselton’s foreshores/CBD teams ensure that the City’s foreshore and CBD areas across Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup and Port Geographe are maintained and presented to the highest standards. 

We are now seeking an enthusiastic individual experienced in horticulture/landscaping to lead one of these teams.  Based out of the City’s Dunsborough Depot, and with the primary areas of responsibility being the foreshore areas of Dunsborough and Yallingup, this position is responsible for ensuring that maintenance and minor construction activities are carried out to the City’s high standards, and in line with the City’s processes and procedures.

To be considered for this role, applicants must demonstrate in their application how they meet the following criteria: 

  • A Certificate III in Horticulture (Parks and Gardens) along with a minimum of 5 years recent experienced in a horticulture/landscaping role.
  • Experience supervising staff and creating a positive team environment.
  • The ability to work autonomously, and plan and organise work activities.
  • Well-developed verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to delivering work of a consistently high standard.
  • The discipline to work in line with specific processes and procedures.   

The successful applicant must also hold a current “HR” or “MR” class driver’s licence; Current Traffic Management and Traffic Control Certification, as well as a Construction Safety Awareness (White Card) and a National Police Clearance not more than six months old.
