Are you passionate about contributing to projects that provide a community with the foundations to continue to grow? Mackay Regional Council are currently seeking two Project Managers to join the dynamic Capital Works Directorate on a permanent basis.

About this opportunity:

The Project Manager is accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects, ensuring these are delivered to agreed criteria and commercially competitive standards for safety, cost management, timeliness, quality and environmental compliance, scope and customer satisfaction consistent with Council strategy, commitments and goals.

This position will manage and deliver medium to large scale projects with a project duration of one or more years that provide cost effective solutions in line with customer and stakeholder requirements and expectations.

The Project Manager will manage and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and contracting companies, ensuring contractor’s working on behalf of Mackay Regional Council comply fully with all contractual compliance obligations and requirements to deliver Council's Contracted works effectively and efficiently.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Qualification in a related field such as Engineering or Building and Construction Management: 1. Degree (preferred); 2. Diploma; 3. Certificate III or IV.
• QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence
• Significant experience in infrastructure delivery, project or building and construction management and/or contract administration in broad contracting and construction environment.
• Significant experience in the management of consultants, contractors and suppliers.
