Maintenance Officer – Bendigo Livestock Exchange


In this varied role, you will ensure that the Bendigo Livestock Exchange site, facilities, buildings, plant and machinery are maintained to a high standard. This role will also perform a key role on sale day as an Animal Welfare Officer.

You will a perform a range of plant and equipment maintenance and general maintenance tasks as well as operate various plant such as skid steer and tractor.  You will ensure that all record keeping is kept up to date, safety issues are reported and rectified in a timely manner.

To be successful in this role, you will have plant and general maintenance experience. As well as being able to comfortably and skilfully handle livestock and assess their health and well-being. You will have strong communication skills, enjoy working in a team, are organised and the ability to resolve minor problems.

The role with work full time Monday – Friday, with some flexibility for part time hours, at the Bendigo Livestock Exchange in Huntly.

A satisfactory police records check and evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status is required for this position.
