Mackay Regional Council has new opportunity for an experienced Project Scheduler to join our Portfolio Management Office team on a permanent full-time basis.

About this opportunity:

Working closely across all council directorates and providing support to the Project Managers and Asset Owners. The Project Scheduler is accountable for the overall master program schedule for the full Council Capital Works program. You will provide project management scheduling expertise as part of the Portfolio Management program to develop project schedules in a format that ensures the scheduling processes and standards are applied consistently across all Council Capital Works projects.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Current QLD C Class motor vehicle driver’s licence.
• Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or Civil Construction or relevant discipline and extensive experience or commensurate qualification with extensive experience.
• Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management
• Experience in Public Works infrastructure construction and /or maintenance with a water / roads emphasis.
• Demonstrated experience in aggregating multiple programs.
• Extensive knowledge of project management in Civil construction environment with experience in the planning, forecasting, budgeting, design, construction and/or commissioning of engineering infrastructure.
• Proficient with MS Project, Primavera or other project management software and tools, as appropriate to the role.
• Ability to interpret construction works design plans, scopes of works and specifications.
