An opportunity has become available for an experienced Foodspace Supervisor to join the multi-award-winning precinct at the Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre (MECC). This position is a permanent part-time opportunity.

About the Role

Working closely with the Catering Team Leader, Chef and Food and Beverage staff, you will provide a high level of customer service, supervising the day-to-day café operations to ensure quality service, consistent standards and a smooth flow of operations are maintained to deliver a great experience at Foodspace Café.

The successful applicant will have the following qualification, knowledge, and skills:

• Responsible Service of Alcohol and current QLD C Class Drivers Licence
• Previous experience in food and beverage preparation and service, including working as a barista, cash handling/POS systems, inventory, ordering & stock rotation and control, preferable in a café/restaurant and/or function venue.
• Ability to build rapport and effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors and management.

Salary and benefit details:

• Base hourly rate $24.29
• 10% Superannuation
• 4 weeks’ annual leave with 17.5% leave loading (pro-rata basis)

Applicants must be willing to partake in an any five (5) out of seven (7) roster including weekends and nights.
