Business Analyst Developer


Mackay Regional Council is looking for a creative, innovative and energetic Business Analyst Developer to join our Information Services Team in a Fulltime Permanent Role based in Mackay CBD.

As the Business Analyst Developer, you will be supporting Council initiatives to improve business processes by assessing the overall business and information needs and contributing to the design and development of innovative corporate focused ICT technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A current QLD “C” class Driver Licence.
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or other appropriate discipline and/or demonstrated experience in lieu of qualifications.
  • Possession of Microsoft Azure certifications such as or similar to AZ204: Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure and/or equivalent experience working with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services
  • Demonstrated experience in leading successful ICT projects using disciplined project management methodologies resulting in client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated experience creating business requirement documentation and functional specifications.
  • A practical knowledge of workflow, business process mapping, Business Process Redesign, Systems Development Life Cycle (SLDC) and modern project management methodologies.
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server skills and high-level T-SQL knowledge for stored procedure creation and modifications
  • SSIS packages for data imports/exports
  • Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Visual Studio and programming languages C# and Javascript
