We are seeking experienced planning and engineering professional to join our busy Development Assessment Teams in the Shire Planning Division

Planning
Are you an experienced Development Assessment Officer looking for a career change or new challenge?
Experienced or Specialist Level - You will provide advanced professional and technical planning assessment in a team environment, and liaise with internal and external key stakeholders.
You will be exposed to a range of development applications including multi storey residential, industrial, waterfront and commercial development, including those for determination by the Local Planning Panel, Sydney South Planning Panel and the Land and Environment Court
You will review plans and provide input into controls for development and land use matters
Engineering
Are you an experienced Development Engineer looking for a change or new challenge?
Experienced or Specialist Level - You will provide advanced professional and technical engineering assessment in a team environment, and liaise with internal and external key stakeholders.
You will be exposed to a range of development applications including multi storey residential, industrial, waterfront, commercial development and subdivisions, including those for determination by the Local Planning Panel, Sydney South Planning Panel and the Land and Environment Court
You will plans and provide input into controls and conditions of consent for development and land use matters
You will assess, issue Subdivision Works Certificates and supervise civil construction works, including pavements and stormwater infrastructure relating to approved Torrens Title subdivision developments
You will have the opportunity to be an expert witness before the Land & Environment Court

Package: Salaries will be negotiated based on skills and experience. Working: 35 hrs per week, with option for a 19 day month
Development Assessment Officer Planner (Permanent Full Time) Grade 10-13 $82,000 to $111,000 gross p.a.+ Superannuation
Development Assessment Officer Engineer (Permanent Full Time) Grade 11-13 $87,000 to $111,000 gross p.a.+ Award Vehicle Allowance + Superannuation
** To meet Council's WHS requirements and in accordance with Council's Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication, you will be required to produce evidence as part of the application process.
