The Role

These roles contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the aquatic facilities and the maintenance of Water Park, which may include:

  • Plan and deliver Learn to Swim lessons to achieve class outcomes, in line with AUSTSWIM and the Town Of Port Hedland’s standards
  • Effectively manage varied behaviours of class participants
  • Undertake assessments of class participants progress and provide regular feedback
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism
  • Provide emergency response and first aid
  • Maintain the facility in a safe, clean, hygienic and presentable condition for all customers to enjoy

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Austswim Certificate or equivalent ‘Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety’
  • Current CPR qualification
  • Flexible availability, as some early morning, midday and weekend shifts are required
  • Current Working With Children
  • National Police Clearance
  • Rights to work in Australia
