Concrete/Road Maintenance Worker


About the position:

The position of Concrete/Road Maintenance Worker is part of the Urban Roads team within the City’s Maintenance Operations department and is responsible for the provision of road and footpath maintenance services to the City of Greater Geraldton.

This position works a 9 day fortnight with every second Friday as a rostered day off.

Key accountabilities:

  • Repair and maintain the City’s network of roads and footpaths using techniques including concrete formwork, finishing and brick paving.
  • General operation of plant and hand tools, carry out maintenance and/or labour duties as required.
  • Operate plant and specialised concreting equipment in a competent and safe manner including skid steer, loader and other machinery as required.

Position requirements:

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in the techniques associated with the maintenance and repair of concrete roads, pathways, kerbing and other structures.

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

A salary starting from $58,280 per annum or $29.49 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
