MECC Cleaner



An opportunity has become available for an energetic casual Cleaner to join the dynamic team at the Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre (MECC).

The Role:

The MECC are searching for an energetic and reliable Cleaner to undertake cleaning duties as per roster and in accordance with the needs of the MECC and ensure the level of cleaning undertaken is kept to a consistently high standard.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Previous cleaning experience in a commercial environment would be highly regarded
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Available to work on an any 5 out of 7 rostered basis including early mornings, afternoons, weekends and night shifts as required.
  • Blue Card - It is an essential requirement for this position to hold a Working with Children Blue Card. Under Queensland legislation, you must hold the Blue Card prior to commencing employment – No Card, No Start policy. Casual as per roster / facility requirements (Any 5 out of 7 roster, including early mornings, afternoons, weekends and night shifts as required)

Hourly rate from $22.07 + applicable casual loading

+ 10% employer superannuation contribution
